Patient Background
The patient presented to our practice with multiple dental issues, including enamel wear, missing teeth, and general dissatisfaction with the appearance of her teeth. She specifically sought aesthetic dentistry to improve her smile.
Clinical Procedure
At our clinic:
- Consultation and Planning: A detailed consultation was conducted where risks and treatment workflow were thoroughly discussed.
- Bite Adjustment: The patient’s bite was initially corrected using conservative white fillings.
- Porcelain Veneers: Two weeks later, porcelain veneers were placed on the upper teeth to achieve a significant aesthetic improvement.
The patient requested a bold change in tooth color. After reviewing options, a bright, whiter shade than usual was chosen, which suited her very well. The lower teeth were restored with white fillings, with the option to upgrade to porcelain restorations in the future if desired.
Outcome
Notably, very little tooth structure needed to be removed, preserving natural enamel. The patient experienced minimal post-treatment discomfort and was very happy with the results and the dramatic change in her smile.
